To understand how this website came
about, first, you need to get to know me. I am a penny
pinching bargain hunting nanny. Please don't confuse
me with the goats I raise. LOL I was born and
raised in Corpus Christi, TX but I have made my home in
Mulberry, AR. My husband and I first moved from San
Antonio, TX to Rudy, Arkansas in the spring of 1997 and our
first home was in our van on a piece of property offered by
someone as a camping spot. I wish we would have had a
way to shop on-line at
Cabelas. This is a great place to find hunting and
camping supplies. We resided there for nearly six
months before finding a "real" home in Natural Dam. We
lived in the beautiful town of Natural Dam for a while
before deciding we needed to be closer to my work, so we
moved to Van-Alma. While we lived there we began
looking for our "piece of the pie" and we found it right
here in the gorgeous hills of Mulberry just at the edge of
the Ozark National Forest.
Although I enjoy my job I was looking for
more. Something that I really enjoyed and that helped
people. It wasn't until my husband decided to help
people repair their computers that I realized what a big
misconception that people have about Internet shopping.
Did you know that identity theft occurs mostly off-line and
that it is safer to shop on-line than what most people
realize? Well this is true and you can read all about it at
the
Better Business Bureau. Once I realized
this I started hunting for many wonderful bargains on the
Internet and now I can tell you my husband has created a
monster!! HAHAHA
I am the type of
woman that enjoys things of nature such as flowers,
gardening, animals, etc. My favorite flower of all is
the rose. When my husband and I were dating he knew
the way to my heart wasn't in diamonds and rubies but in
roses, so now when he orders flowers for the garden from
Michigan Bulb he is a sweetheart and orders me some
roses for that special touch. He is a very unique
person. He hurts when I hurt and is angry when I am
angered. I remember a few years back I had lost my
favorite pet, a scroungey ole mutt named Scraps.
Scraps and I had been through a lot together from him almost
dying of parvo to going fishing together. So what does
Scraps do to me our first year in Arkansas? The crazy
ole dog gets himself run over by a truck! My how that
broke my heart in two. He was a dumb dog but so
loveable and I loved him so! My husband didn't exactly
care for him because he wasn't basically nothin' but a lap
dog. But let me tell you one thing that man of mine
hurt because I hurt and believe you me this was no act!
We got over that dreadful event and when we moved to our
farm we are living on now he bought me a Rat Terrier on
Valentines Day. We named her Ruth and she has been
with us ever since. If you're like me you like to take
care of your animals, I have found that
Petscriptions and
Pet Food Direct are good places to go for your pet needs
without the hassle of using gas at today's high prices!
Of course our furry little friends aren't the only ones that
need care sometimes. Us people also need some TLC
every now and again. That is why we go to
DrugStore.com, you can you get your prescriptions filled
there as long as you follow the guidelines they set
forth under the "common questions" category on the
prescriptions page. This is extremely useful because
this causes automatic delivery as well as notification of
need to renew prescriptions. DrugStore.com also has
many other items such as personal care items, hair care,
vitamins, skin care, baby and kids care, etc. They
also have free standard shipping on orders of $25.00 or more
on nonprescription items. Be sure to sign up for
"drugstore.com dollars" for added savings.
One day while my husband was printing out business cards he
mentioned that we were running low on ink so I went surfing
on the net and started comparing prices on the Internet
opposed to our local store that offered ink cartridges and
found that we could save $8.00 at
123 Ink Jets. My husband, as I mentioned earlier,
helps people to repair their computers, so he buys quite a
few computer parts from
Best Buy. While talking to a friendly tech there,
he mentioned that we could save on our long distance calls
by participating in
Skype for
very little cost to those people you call that have Skype
too. Now that is a super bargain that all people can
use at their home!
I am not one for
knowing the technicalities of computer repair, so I mainly
use the computer for shopping for bargains and entertainment
and I have found
Napster to be a fabulous place for listening and
downloading my favorite music! You receive unlimited
access to 1,000,000 plus songs, you can listen to and
download an unlimited amount of music, enjoy 50+
commercial-free interactive radio stations, discover and
share music with other Napster members, with Napster to go,
you fill and refill any compatible MP3 player without paying
per song or album (Of course it is necessary to maintain a
Napster subscription in order to continue access to songs
downloaded through the Napster service.), best of all it is
fast, safe and now legal. Wow!! This is all
available to you for only $14.95 a month!! That's a
real huge bargain! Now don't get me wrong my husband
isn't a total computer "geek" he likes his entertainment
too. He enjoys watching NASCAR racing on TV. I
don't care for racing much so when he is "racing" with the
boys I go to my computer and play pool, talk to my friends
or whatever I find that is interesting to me. Oh my, I
better hope and pray he doesn't find the
NASCAR.com SUPERSTORE on-line that I found because they
have many bargains there! Man, I better keep him away
from there or we will go in the poor house for sure!!!
LOL
Finally when planning a
vacation or an extended trip I always make sure that I have
enough unmentionables from
Just My Size store. I am sure to avoid the hassle
of having to find a second choice hotel because the one I
really would like to go to is full! So I order my
reservations in advance at
Hotelopia. Another smart choice to consider
are those long, boring rides with no scenery at times so I
go to
Family Christian Stores and I find some good wholesome
reading at reasonable prices. One very important
detail not to forget are the repairs that need to be done to
the goat pen before you leave so the goats can't escape and
get into major trouble! I do this at
The HOME Depot. Of course like the old familiar
saying goes "Don't leave home without it", I definitely
don't want to leave home without God because we all are to
take him and his
Word along with us anywhere we go! Speaking about
beliefs if you happen to be Catholic, my best friend Rachel
happens to be the owner of raylynnsrosaries.com where she
has several gift ideas.
I have met many
fine people on the Internet and enjoy building
relationships. Don't be shy drop me a line.
